Mr Cain enjoyed an illustrious career in human capital management and human resource development over a period exceeding two decades. He served as: Senior Manager: Leadership Development, Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA); Chief Director Human Resources Management and Development, National Prosecutions Authority (NPA); Senior Director: Human Resources and Development, Mangosuthu University of Technology; Human Resources Manager SA Operations, Sandvik Mining and Construction; Senior Manager Human Resources, Alusaf Bayside; Training Manager, City of Johannesburg, to mention a few.

In the governance and oversight space he serves as a Board Member of the Disciplinary Board, George Municipality; Specialist member of REMCO, Health Professions Council of South Africa; Member of the Evangelical Bible College; and served as a Member of the REMCO, BankServ.

Professionally Mr Cain received membership with the South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) as a Master Hr Practitioner. Mr Cain has been serving as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo since 15th February 2022.
