Mr Claude Bassuday holds the following law degrees: - B. Proc (UCT), LLB (UNISA) LLM (Cornell University)

In addition, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Auditing from UKZN.

Mr Bassuday is an admitted attorney and practised as an attorney for several years.

He is the Director of Legal Services at UCT and Chairperson of the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.

Mr Bassuday has been serving as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo since 15 February 2022.
