Mr Freddy Leketi obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics through the University of South Africa in 1985. Mr Leketi then entered employment and obtained a Diploma in Human Resources through Damelin College. In 1990 he obtained a diploma in Personal Financial Management and began his career in the financial services sector. He went on to study and obtain a Diploma in Financial Markets through the London School of International Financial Markets, through which he began a career as a Stockbroker for HSBC.

Mr Leketi is an Executive Director of Seabelo Garrun (Pty) Ltd, a second-tier short-term insurance intermediary. He also serves as a Trustee of Pambi Trust which holds shares in Pamodzi Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd.

He is a registered Financial Advisor-Key Individual with the Financial Services Board (FSB); and is a member of the following institutions: Institute of Risk Management SA, The Ethics Institute, and the Institute of Directors SA.

Mr Leketi has been serving as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo since 25 February 2014.
