It is that time of the year we’ve all been waiting for.  After two long years, Joburg Zoo will once again be transformed, not just for one night but two – nights of ghouls, witches, vampires and all things frightening!

Come and experience ghastly ghouls, walking ghosts, zombies, those scary, creepy clowns, a witches’ cove, a grim walk of darkness and fear in our House of Horror and Evil Circus.  Visitors will be entertained by stilt walkers, mime artists, mummies, puppet masters and more.

You’ll be tricked and treated, spooked and scared, a perfect place for the faint hearted!

Visitors will learn about the importance of owls, their population, the myths around owls, how we can save these wise creatures and their significant role to the environment. Some wise words from our keepers in the know…

Dress up as your favourite Halloween character and you could be one of ten randomly selected visitors to be treated to four zoo vouchers.  So, bring along your family and friends for two nights of absolute fright!  Gates open from 17:00 to 21:00.  Tickets are R150 for adults, R100 for kiddies and R100 for senior citizens (please bring proof of identification for verification purposes).

City Parks and Zoo employees can use their zoo vouchers and City of Joburg employees only pay R100 - parking is free for everyone!
