10 June 2021

It might be a cold day this Father’s Day but Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) will be warming the hearts and hands of all dads who visit the Zoo on Father’s Day on 20 June 2021.  We will be welcoming dads with free entrance to the zoo and a hot cup of coffee!

Although we will not be celebrating fatherhood camp outs at our popular nature reserve, the Joburg Zoo will be offering free access to dads only from 09h00 to 11h00.

Fathers are as important in the lives of their children as moms are, they provide comfort, a sense of security and protection for the child.

In a society where so many children are without present fathers, we salute those dads who safeguard their children while developing confident, strong yet caring human beings.  To those dads who took time to play in a park, ride a bike or read that bed time story twenty times over, we say thank you!

The Johannesburg Zoo continues to comply with all Covid regulations and it remains compulsory for all visitors to wear their masks, practice safe distancing and sanitizing at all times.

The general public including children will pay the normal entrance fees of R110 per adult and R65 per child.

Come along to the Joburg Zoo and be sure to dress warm while enjoying an array of your favourite animals.
