The City of Johannesburg has 1270 developed parks and 459 underdeveloped areas which are demarcated as public open spaces. Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) is the City’s Agent in the management and maintenance of Public open spaces, cemeteries, nature conservation areas and the Johannesburg Zoo. The portfolio managed, is in excess of 20 000 ha and 3.2 million trees.
